“Require character, intelligence and industry as the starting foundation in selecting personnel”. This comment on building excellence in the workplace was made by our Firm’s founder, Edwin Booz, shortly before his death in 1951. Today, Booz-Allen is one of the most renown management consulting companies in the world, yet these simple words still form the core foundation of our firm’s philosophy of hiring and retaining the best and the brightest talent. These words are also embodied in the talent we found in our relationship with John Westerhaus.
Recently, when our Dallas office renewed a 10-year lease, we elected to demo and rebuild our entire office space of approximately 17,000 square feet. This may not seem to be a daunting task to most. However, we chose to do so while occupying a portion of the space for the duration of the construction process. A formidable challenge to all, but one readily accepted by John. Together with our team of architects, John facilitated the ever-changing platform of our complex project. John has a keen ability to anticipate needs and stay one step ahead of change. When a challenge did present itself, John was armed with creative solutions to drive the project forward.
